Those who have been met by a white fairy, are offered to have a wish granted in exchange for becoming a warrior against the Witches. Their souls are stored within a gem which serves as a gauge for their energy consumption, and they are granted magical powers that can be highly destructive or useful depending on how they are used. In addition, their body simply becomes a puppet for their soul, which can be repaired with magic energy instantly, including medical conditions like blindness or amputations. In exchange for this power, they must fight the Witches or face becoming one themselves...

They are called Mahou.

Female Mahou are called Mahou Shoujo, and males are called Mahou Shounen.

The vast majority of Mahou are female, due to certain ideal characteristics in their emotional development that give them the energy required to become potential. There are rare cases of Mahou Shounen existing, but so few to the point they have become legends. Rumors gossiped about by the magic folk.

Mahou are created once they are visited by a White Fairy if they have potential and agree to a contract. Once the contract has been made, the effect is irreversible.

Once contracted, your soul is placed into a Soul Gem. If that gem is destroyed, you die. If it becomes filled with corrpution, you will turn into a Witch. You body can operate a maximum of 100 meters away from your Soul Gem, if exceeded, you will lose control of your body and be placed into a dying state. You can regain control if your Soul Gem is brought back within 100 meters.

In addition, you will gain magic powers relating to the wish you made.

Mahou come in five levels: ★, ★★, ★★★, ★★★★, and ★★★★★.

These levels are determined by what what roll you get when first creating a character.

[20-21=★ 22-23=★★ 24-25=★★★ 26-27=★★★★ 28=★★★★★]

When first rolling for Mahou potential on your character sheet, a moderator will roll two 14 dice for you, which will determine your potential. Rolling a 20 or 21 will give you one star [★], 22 or 23 for two stars [★★] etc. Rolling the max at 28, which means rolling two 14s will give you the maximum potential for a Mahou, at five stars. [★★★★★]
Rolling lower than 20 will mean you cannot become a Mahou Shoujo.

Your star level will determine what kind of wishes you can make, with lower stars only simple wishes are possible i.e (Wishing for food) where as more complex or powerful wishes, such as ressurecting a character from the dead or wishing for immortality against aging will require you to have a high amount of stars. There will be a list made for what kind of wishes are possible for each tier in the future.

In the end, becoming a Mahou is completely optional. Even if you have the potential, you may turn down a contract if you do not wish for your character to become one.
